AngularJs is one of the widely used JavaScript framework based on MVC pattern. Currently we have AngularJs version 1.3 with lot of great features and adopted very well in the technology world. But, AngularJs team is working on a new version of AngularJs based on AtScript and ES6, which will be a complete rewrite of the AngularJs. All core concepts and implementations are going to change in new version. From the preview versions out there, the syntax and bindings are completely changed. New version will require different editor support to implement too.
Google itself spent lot on AngularJs 1.3, so there may be a support for the same at least for next 2 to 3 years. Even though AngularJS 1.3 is a great release with lot of productivity improvements, before choosing the same think about the long term support of the framework. Angular Team may look into a better migration plan in future, but as of now moving a code from angularJs 1.3 to 2.0 will be a complete rewrite of the program.
